The organisers of the Dvořák International Radio Competition for Young Musicians Concertino Praga are now accepting applications for the 57th edition of the competition. Those interested can submit their recordings in the solo and chamber music categories until 31 March 2023. The two final rounds of the competition will once again take place in front of an audience as part of the Dvořák Prague 2023 International Music Festival.
The age limit for competitors in the flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, French horn, saxophone and trombone fields has been raised from 17 to 18 years. In violin, piano, cello, harpsichord, accordion, harp and guitar, the competition is open to musicians who will not exceed the age of 16 at the time of the final round. In the category of chamber music in duo to sextet, the competition is open to musicians who will not exceed the average age of 20 years at the time of the final round, i.e. 15 September 2023.
